A Practice Shaped by Creativity, Experience, and Deep Inner Knowing

creative supervisor & art psychotherapist 35+ years experience

Throughout my life, I have found myself returning to moments of pause — those liminal spaces where direction feels uncertain, yet something deeper begins to unfold.

Creativity has always been my anchor within those spaces. As a child, I immersed myself in nature, using what was around me to create, explore, and gently soothe what I could not yet put into words. That early, intuitive understanding of how creative expression supports healing has stayed with me ever since.

With over 35 years of experience working across the fields of mental health and creativity, I now feel deeply privileged to hold space for others as they navigate their own inner journeys toward healing, growth, and reconnection.

My Journey

Today, my work is shaped by meeting each person exactly where they are — honouring what arises, and creating a safe, contained space where it can be explored with care and attention.

Experiences such as Soulful Strolls have become a natural extension of this work, allowing the presence of nature to gently support reflection, awareness, and emergence.

My work began with a strong foundation in Art Psychotherapy, where I developed a deep respect for both theory and the creative process as a pathway into deeper understanding.

Over time, my practice expanded to include Creative Supervision, behavioural approaches, and additional therapeutic modalities. Through this evolution, one thing became increasingly clear - many of the individuals I work with are moving through profound inner transitions, often described as an awakening process.

My Approach

I do not see my role as fixing or healing, but as holding a space where something meaningful can unfold.

This work is collaborative, paced, and shaped by what naturally emerges. Some sessions are conversational, while others invite creative or reflective exploration, depending on what feels most supportive in the moment.

Together, we create the conditions for you to step into the role of observer rather than absorber — allowing new perspectives, clarity, and understanding to arise.

From Liminal Space to Emergence

Modalities & Methods

My work is rooted in Art Psychotherapy and Creative Supervision, supported by a range of complementary therapeutic approaches.

These include EMDR, NLP, CH, RTT and other holistic and integrative methods, which may be drawn upon where appropriate. Each element is carefully woven together to create a cohesive, responsive, and deeply individualised experience.

At its core, this is a holistic approach — one that honours the uniqueness of each person and adapts to their needs with care, professionalism, and intuition.

Work Beyond  the Therapy Space

Alongside my one-to-one practice, I am deeply engaged in work that supports wellbeing, creativity, and community on a broader level.

I am the co-founder  of the "Beyond the Bridge"  program & Créadh Retreats,  as well as the founder of a registered charity supporting children with childhood cancers. I also serve as a trainee Community First Responder within my local community.

In addition, I am a published author of four educational wellbeing books for children, teachers, and parents — extending my work into accessible, supportive resources for everyday life.

A little More personally...

These moments continue to shape how I show up in my work: present, grounded, and attentive.

When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me walking barefoot in my garden, observing or tending to the herbs, trees & flowers. I love the calming nature of the woods, the soft, spongy forest floor, to rest my back against a tree or to visit a stone circle to sit and contemplate in.

Outside of my work, I find grounding and inspiration in the quiet, simple moments of daily life.

I drink way too much tea, cry at films, and believe in the magic of slow, quiet mornings. I deeply value and cherish time spent with my family, holding those moments close as an important part of my life.

If something here resonates with you, trust that.

You are warmly invited to explore how we might work together, in a way that feels supportive, safe, and aligned with where you are right now.

When you’re ready, I’m here.
